The Blue Horizon Psychotherapy Clinic is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. In this remote role, you will provide essential therapeutic services specializing in mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. As a crucial member of our outpatient office, you will utilize your expertise to deliver evidence-based interventions that promote mental wellness and assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

Work Environment\n

This is a full-time remote position, enabling you to effectively manage your own schedule while ensuring that you are available for our clients from Monday to Friday, typically between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, with some evenings and weekend hours on a rotational basis. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients on developing customized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs, preferences, and personal goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for mood disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting as necessary based on client progress.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, effective treatment options, and self-care practices, fostering a supportive environment.

• Regularly evaluate and monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to mental health care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices related to mood disorder treatment, incorporating new insights into your therapeutic approach.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client sessions and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards to ensure confidentiality and clarity.

• Engage in professional development initiatives, including participating in case consultations and team meetings to enhance your clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients, working to reduce stigma associated with mood disorders and supporting their mental health journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing a variety of mood disorders. The patient population is diverse, spanning different ages, backgrounds, and cultural contexts. You will have the opportunity to make significant impacts on clients' lives by guiding them through their challenges and celebrating their successes in therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders is preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• Demonstrated success in delivering positive treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.

• Strong communication skills enabling the formation of rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
