Work Environment

The position is located onsite at our outpatient office in North Fort Myers, known for its friendly and collaborative atmosphere. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving patient outcomes. The workweek is Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, reviewing pertinent medical histories and performing specific assessments to establish treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring they are actively involved in goal setting.
• Implement tailored treatment protocols based on evaluation results, adapting to each patient's unique needs and progress.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals as necessary, documenting any changes in the patient's condition that may necessitate adjustments to the plan of care.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries, which reflect the patient's trajectory and treatment goals.
• Manage your time effectively to meet productivity expectations while maintaining an orderly and accurate schedule.
• Participate in hospital and community outreach activities to promote wellness and access to our services.
• Contribute to departmental goals and compliance with regulatory standards to enhance operational efficiency.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by pursuing continuing education and mentoring less experienced physical therapists and interns.
• Foster positive patient experiences by demonstrating adaptability and an understanding of individual patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves patients recovering from orthopedic surgical procedures, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. You will play a crucial role in crafting personalized rehabilitation programs aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall physical function. Your expertise will directly impact our patients' recovery journey and their ability to return to their daily activities and sports.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience in developing exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT.
• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by the ability to cultivate professional relationships with patients and colleagues.
• A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Experience in a collaborative healthcare environment with an emphasis on multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
• Advanced training or certification in specific therapeutic modalities or rehabilitation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
