Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients, reviewing medical histories, performing necessary assessments, and documenting findings accurately.
• Engaging patients and their families by articulating evaluation results and discussing individualized treatment plans, ensuring their involvement in goal setting.
• Implementing and demonstrating treatment protocols based on evaluation findings while considering the patient's unique presentation and the latest healthcare developments.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, recognizing when modifications to the treatment plan or additional consultations are warranted.
• Executing appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care while maintaining timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress.
• Managing time effectively to meet productivity benchmarks while keeping an organized schedule and being punctual for meetings.
• Participating in community outreach and promotional activities to enhance service visibility.
• Contributing towards the achievement of departmental objectives and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

• Providing guidance and mentorship to students as a clinical instructor.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Must possess an active state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Compensation and Benefits
