Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary clinician, working with assigned clients experiencing major mental illnesses or severe emotional disorders, through both individual and group sessions.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, families, and educational personnel to build trust and facilitate effective communication.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to create and implement evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
• Develop integrated care plans in collaboration with other healthcare providers and community resources, ensuring seamless access to varied supportive services.
• React promptly to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques and appropriate interventions to ensure client safety and well-being.
• Actively engage in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve care delivery methods and individual performance.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and overall progress as per licensing and agency standards.
• Support programmatic initiatives through participation in quality improvement committees and training activities aimed at enhancing service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on children, adolescents, and families, addressing a range of mental health issues unique to school-aged individuals. You'll engage with diverse populations, respecting their cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences. Your ability to adapt your approach based on developmental needs and socio-economic factors will be crucial in effectively supporting these clients.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clear, empathetic interactions with clients from various backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client caseloads efficiently without compromising quality.
• A solid foundation in ethical practice, including adherence to established professional guidelines.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience working with children and families in a mental health capacity is preferred.
• Proven experience in crisis intervention and the development of individualized treatment plans.
• Familiarity with school-based mental health programs and community resources.

Compensation and Benefits

Bayfront Healthcare Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
