Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans focused on the unique needs of each patient, targeting trauma recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support patients in their recovery journeys.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, build effective coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to provide integrated, holistic care, ensuring all aspects of the patient’s well-being are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention and essential support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and composed attitude in high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources for enhanced awareness and empowerment.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, staying aligned with the clinic's focus on trauma-informed care and best practices.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay informed about the latest research and trends in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults and adolescents dealing with complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and dissociative disorders. Many of our patients have experienced significant emotional challenges due to historical trauma, violence, or adverse childhood experiences. Your role is vital in guiding these individuals towards recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Proven experience in trauma-informed therapy practices, with a strong theoretical understanding of trauma-related disorders.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically, providing a non-judgmental atmosphere for patients.

• Familiarity with EHR systems and a strong competency in using computer applications to document and track patient progress.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a clinical setting focused on trauma recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
