Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents to effectively evaluate their psychological needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate and consider family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and play therapy, to address a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at fostering communication and understanding among family members, equipping parents and caregivers to better support their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and various health professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care is delivered to patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, to manage acute mental health crises involving children and adolescents.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, offering insight into treatment options and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing specialized EHR systems.

• Actively engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Stay informed about the latest advancements in child and adolescent mental health care to ensure best practice implementation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice specializes in working with children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges. This includes managing conditions such as anxiety, depression, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. Your role will be critical in creating a nurturing therapeutic environment that promotes healing and personal growth, allowing young people to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders typical in children and adolescents, along with various evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and family therapy, with a child-centered approach.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency using electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications essential for managing client information.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing insights and sharing best practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in clinical mental health settings, specifically with child and adolescent populations.

• Experience implementing telehealth services or familiarity with virtual treatment modalities will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits\n
