Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Well Star Health Services, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Providing expert clinical consultation to fellow clinical staff regarding mental health issues across various patient populations, specifically focusing on geriatric and substance use disorders.

• Interpreting and conveying critical information concerning patients and their families, including social history details, to ensure a holistic understanding of each client’s needs.

• Coordinating planning and decision-making processes related to individual patient care plans, including assessments of home situations and community resources.

• Designing tailored treatment plans, regularly reviewing provider cases, and adapting strategies based on ongoing assessments.

• Engaging in additional tasks as assigned, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve clients from diverse backgrounds facing various mental health challenges, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. With an emphasis on geriatric populations, you will play a crucial role in developing effective treatment modalities that address their unique needs.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

• An independent licensure in California, such as LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT.

• Proficiency in completing progress notes efficiently and effectively after client sessions, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.

Compensation and Benefits\n
