Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, providing the flexibility to work from home while being an integral part of our dynamic team. We prioritize work-life balance and a structured schedule that includes Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily activities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and guide treatment decisions.

• Developing personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and enhancing resilience, integrating both individual and group therapy approaches.

• Applying evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to aid patients in processing their trauma.

• Leading individual and group therapy sessions that assist patients in building coping strategies and processing their trauma experiences.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies and imparting valuable resources and information to patients and their families regarding trauma responses and coping mechanisms.

• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation to meet ethical and legal compliance standards.

• Participating in regular case consultations, interdisciplinary team meetings, and ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in trauma-informed therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will actively engage with a diverse population of patients, including individuals affected by significant trauma, PTSD, and dissociative disorders. Your work will center around understanding their unique experiences and challenges while supporting them through their recovery journey. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• An active license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally in a trauma-focused or outpatient setting.
\n
• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated excellence in delivering trauma-focused therapies and building rapport with patients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, complemented by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.

• Adaptability and resilience in managing high-pressure situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and associated software tools.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years post-licensure experience is required, candidates who possess extensive experience in trauma-focused therapy, particularly those familiar with EMDR and TF-CBT modalities, will be highly regarded. Additionally, comfort and proficiency using digital communication tools to facilitate teletherapy sessions will be beneficial.
