Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments by utilizing interviews, observations, and comprehensive reviews of medical histories to identify emotional, social, and environmental variables affecting student well-being.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions and support for students and their families, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment difficulties related to educational and personal challenges.
\n
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to develop individualized treatment plans that focus on holistic student needs and academic success.
\n
• Facilitate access to community resources for students, including mental health services, vocational counseling, and peer support networks.
\n
• Deliver educational workshops and seminars to students, educators, and parents about available community resources and post-rehabilitation services.

• Engage in proactive discharge planning to aid smooth transitions for students returning to regular school settings or moving on to other care environments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clients in this role are school-aged children and adolescents experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges due to a range of incidents, including trauma, chronic illness, or developmental disorders. You will work directly with students facing academic pressures, such as bullying or learning disabilities, to design interventions aimed at fostering resilience and enabling successful participation in school activities.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, with a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation.

• At least one year of relevant experience in clinical social work, ideally within educational or rehabilitation settings.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, family dynamics, and trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and professional colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with diverse populations, including socioeconomically disadvantaged groups and individuals accessing special education services.

• Background in crisis intervention, particularly in school-based environments.
