Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical conditions, functional abilities, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing a variety of modalities, including exercise, manual therapy, and therapeutic equipment to promote recovery and enhance mobility.
• Implement treatment plans that may encompass exercises, stretching techniques, and pain management strategies, adjusting treatments as needed based on patient progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding patient evaluations, treatments performed, and ongoing progress to inform clinical decision-making and ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with caregivers and family members to educate them on the rehabilitation process, assistive device training, and effective methods for supporting recovery at home.
• Engage in regular team meetings to coordinate patient care efforts and share insights related to treatment outcomes.
• Participate in continuous professional development by attending workshops, refreshing clinical knowledge through literature, and contributing to a culture of learning within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from children to older adults, each with unique rehabilitation goals stemming from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Your role is vital in ensuring that all patients experience personalized care tailored to their specific needs, fostering an environment that encourages their recovery and optimal functioning.

Qualifications

• A valid Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and state license to practice in Virginia.
• Demonstrated proficiency in both written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information to patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficient in utilizing technology and software for documentation and patient management.
• Strong adaptability to the dynamic and changing nature of patient care environments.
• Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and a compassionate approach to patient treatment.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting focusing on rehabilitation and outpatient therapy practices.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team enhances a holistic approach to patient care.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic equipment and techniques applicable to outpatient rehabilitation settings.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
