Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and impact of their mood disorder symptoms, providing a foundational understanding tailored to their unique circumstances.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized, measurable treatment plans that reflect their specific goals and preferences, utilizing therapeutic techniques that resonate with their experiences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting strategies to effectively meet each client’s needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Hackensack Health System, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and your role will involve understanding and addressing their unique challenges. By providing empathetic and evidence-based therapeutic support, you will help clients navigate their mental health journeys and empower them to achieve optimal well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, with a strong emphasis on CBT and DBT.

• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with prescribing psychiatrists and enhance the treatment experience.

• A proven track record of success in delivering mental health treatment and achieving positive client outcomes in previously held positions.
