The selected candidate will thrive in a supportive and collaborative remote work environment, with occasional in-person interactions at our outpatient office in San Francisco. The typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening hours needed to meet patient demands. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to identify and evaluate the individual needs of children and adolescents.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect each patient's developmental stage and family context, adapting methodologies as necessary.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family systems therapy in one-on-one sessions to assist young patients.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, working alongside parents and caregivers to foster supportive, nurturing home environments conducive to mental health.

• Collaborate effectively with child psychiatrists and allied health professionals to create a seamless and integrated care experience for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, employing vital techniques that ensure safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment pathways, and available community resources for additional support.

• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality is upheld.

• Participate in regular team meetings, ongoing case consultations, and staff training sessions to enhance collaborative practice and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on the treatment and support of children and adolescents, who present with a wide range of mental health issues, from mild anxiety disorders to complex behavioral challenges. Our therapists work closely with families to cultivate a better understanding of their child's challenges and how to effectively provide support. You will contribute to their journey towards recovery and resilience by creating positive therapeutic relationships based on trust and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably working with children and adolescents.

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, particularly evidence-based treatment modalities suited to this demographic.

• Proven experience delivering therapy both individually and in family settings, with an approach that prioritizes compassion and understanding.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
