Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the individual needs of children and adolescents.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, offering stability and comfort to young patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment plans, and available community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records according to state laws and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in continuous professional development through training and participation in workshops and conferences.

• Stay abreast of current research and best practices within child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers around working with a diverse population of children and adolescents, from ages 5 to 18, who present various mental health challenges. You will engage with patients facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders, tailoring your interventions to fit developmental needs and family circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and a child-centered approach.
\n
• Ability to similarly connect and build trust with young clients and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and essential computer applications.
\n
• Effective collaboration skills to work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting focusing on child and adolescent mental health.

• Hands-on experience in crisis intervention and family therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000–110,000 annually, plus potential bonuses and a comprehensive sign-on bonus.
