Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be remote, offering flexibility while maintaining an engaging and cohesive work culture. Though the role is primarily performed off-site, our virtual environment ensures consistent support and communication among team members. The typical work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as required to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of children and adolescents, ensuring that evaluations are thorough and insightful.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans focusing on the specific developmental stages and familial contexts of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mental health issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and guardians with the necessary tools to foster supportive home environments.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive, integrated approach to treatment that centers the client’s well-being.
\n
• Respond to crisis situations involving children and adolescents, providing immediate support and intervention as needed.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources to empower them in their care.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential records of patient progress in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Engage actively in regular team meetings, offering insights during case consultations, and benefitting from shared learning opportunities.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health to enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is the mental health of children and adolescents ranging from early childhood through teenage years. Our center addresses a variety of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues. By understanding the specific needs of this age group, you will be pivotal in helping clients develop coping strategies and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensed professional status as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or licensed psychologist in California.
\n
• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably with children and adolescents.
\n
• Strong understanding of various child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment techniques.
\n
• Experience in delivering direct therapy to individuals and families, demonstrating effectiveness in various therapeutic approaches.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate, child-centered approach to therapy, fostering trust and rapport with clients.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology in a virtual setting.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
