Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological and emotional needs of children and adolescents, using standardized tools and methods.

• Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans that involve both therapeutic frameworks and family engagement strategies tailored to each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address diverse mental health issues.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive treatment approach for each young patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and support to children and adolescents in moments of emotional distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health diagnoses, available treatment options, and community resources that can support ongoing mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, and various behavioral issues. Your expertise will support young individuals in learning coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing overall mental resilience, while working directly with families to create supportive frameworks for growth and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid California state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a relevant mental health setting, ideally working with children and adolescents.

• Comprehensive knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and the unique dynamics involved in working with younger clients.

• Demonstrated experience providing family therapy and conducting assessments specifically tailored to a youth demographic.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective therapeutic relationships with young clients and their caregivers.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
