Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological, emotional, and developmental needs of children and adolescents.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that take into account the unique circumstances of each young patient, including family dynamics and cultural considerations.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to address a diverse range of mental health conditions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and play therapy techniques.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers to create nurturing environments that support the mental health of their children.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists, teachers, and community resources to deliver integrated care and ensure comprehensive support.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for children and adolescents facing mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.

• Educate young patients and their families about mental health issues, guiding them on treatment options and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing EHR systems.

• Engage in regular team meetings and professional development activities to stay abreast of current best practices and advancements in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents aged 5 to 18 years, who may be coping with various mental health challenges. You will provide therapeutic support and guidance to young individuals from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their specific needs while collaborating with families to promote a healthy and supportive environment.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is mandatory.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field is preferred, with a strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders.

• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy, particularly with children and adolescents, is crucial.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, adolescents, and their families, employing a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other related technology for documentation and patient management.

• Strong collaborative skills to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient health outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
