Work Environment\n

This position allows counselors to provide services remotely from their home offices while remaining part of a collaborative and supportive team. While mainly remote, the role may require occasional visits to our Savannah outpatient facility for team meetings, training, or client consultations. The flexibility of working hours, typically Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allows for a healthy work-life balance while meeting the evolving needs of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and trauma histories.

• Develop actionable and client-centered treatment plans aimed at promoting recovery and building resilience.

• Implement evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing processes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients to process experiences and cultivate effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention support during emergencies related to trauma.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, helping to demystify mental health challenges.

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to all ethical and legal guidelines.

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including case consultations and peer supervision, to enhance trauma-informed practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced a wide range of traumatic events, from acute incidents to prolonged and complex trauma. This diverse client population often struggles with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and related mental health concerns. Your expertise and empathetic approach will be essential in helping clients understand their experiences and embark on the path to healing.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working with trauma-focused populations.

• Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients.

• Competence in managing stress and remaining calm during challenging situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient documentation and client management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 90,000 and 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
