Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive assessments for new patients and families, emphasizing a strength-based approach that identifies individual needs.

• Provide tailored individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques that best align with each client's unique situation.
\n
• Maintain up-to-date billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms in accordance with specified time frames.

• Develop crisis plans and safety strategies as needed, alongside relapse prevention and wellness plans, to support clients in achieving and maintaining stability.

• Create effective discharge plans that outline the next steps in a patient’s care journey while ensuring a smooth transition out of therapy.
\n
• Adhere strictly to all applicable federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and the policies and procedures of our organization.
\n
• Engage in continuous professional development through training and education to maintain and enhance competence in mental health practices.
\n
• Participate proactively in case consultations and agency meetings, contributing insights and experiences that drive team success.
\n
• Ensure all licensure and mandatory training requirements are met and kept current.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work as a counselor will primarily involve serving a diverse demographic, including varying ages, backgrounds, and challenges. You will play a vital role in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, helping clients navigate their mental health journeys with empathy and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field is required, leading to licensure.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the State of Florida (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW).
