Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify the psychosocial needs of students and their families.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans, including participation in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) processes.
\n
• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to monitor student outcomes and adjust services as necessary.
\n
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate various challenges that impact their child’s emotional and academic success.
\n
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal and State regulations pertaining to mental health services in a school environment.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based practices in the administration and interpretation of assessments to deliver effective treatment strategies.
\n
• Foster rapport with children, families, and educators to create a safe and positive learning atmosphere conducive to growth and development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on students within the school system, addressing their mental, emotional, and social challenges. You will work with diverse student populations, providing support for issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and social skills deficits. Understanding the unique pressures that students face today, you will be tasked with developing strategies that promote resilience, self-esteem, and academic achievement, positively influencing the lives of both children and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• Proven expertise in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention within the context of school-based social work.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and team members.

• Demonstrated ability to develop organizational strategies and maintain detailed documentation of client interactions and progress.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required, preferably in a mental health setting.

• Experience working in school environments or with children and adolescents is highly desired.

• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred to better serve our diverse community.
