Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of young learners as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher in the Minneapolis area. This contract opportunity offers both full-time and part-time options supporting preschool-age children in self-contained classrooms, with strong paraeducator support and clear daily schedules.

Two positions are available:

• Full-time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:15 am–4:15 pm. Serve two groups of 6–8 students each, with Group 1 meeting in the morning and Group 2 in the afternoon (Tuesday–Friday). Mondays are reserved for paperwork, meetings, or floating substitute support within the Early Childhood Special Education program.
• Part-time: 0.5 position with the same student group structure and a flexible schedule. Options include Monday–Friday mornings or a combination of select full and half days. There’s potential for this to become full-time in the future.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Department of Education Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) teaching license.
• Experience working with preschool students in special education settings is highly valued.
• Proficiency in managing small group instruction within self-contained environments.
• Strong collaboration skills for partnering with paraeducators and other special education staff.
• Excellent organizational abilities to balance teaching, paperwork, and meetings.

• Adapt curriculum and interventions to support IEP goals and diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with support staff and families to maximize each child’s potential.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings as required.
