Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health statuses, including their emotional, psychological, and social needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual assessments that address diverse issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques, ensuring clients have the necessary tools and coping strategies to improve their mental health.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in electronic health records to track progress, treatment effectiveness, and continuity of care.

• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and support groups, as needed to enhance client care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in case consultations with fellow counselors for collaborative support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients facing a variety of mental health challenges. This includes young adults, families, and individuals of varying cultural backgrounds. You will employ a culturally responsive approach in your practice, emphasizing respect and understanding of each client’s unique experiences and perspectives.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or similar credential in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience providing mental health counseling.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with various evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport, empathy, and engagement with a range of individuals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
