Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Role in Rehabilitation Center

Position Overview

PT Plus Physical Therapy & Wellness Centers is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to enhance our patient rehabilitation team. Work Environment

In our onsite rehabilitation center, you will be part of a collaborative and encouraging work environment. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art therapy equipment designed for orthopedic rehabilitation, providing you with the tools needed to offer effective treatment. You will work closely with fellow therapists, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals to create a seamless experience for our patients. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a balanced lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients' physical conditions, mobility, and strength, adhering to professional and state standards.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with patient-specific needs and rehabilitation goals. This may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities tailored to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Implement treatment plans effectively while monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments based on real-time feedback and clinical judgments.
• Document patient care activities meticulously following our approved medical and facility documentation protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Engage with other healthcare professionals within the facility to coordinate care, integrating insights from various disciplines to enhance patient treatment.
• Participate in educational activities to maintain professional licensure and improve your skill set, including attending workshops and reviewing current literature in the field of physical therapy.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment, promoting safety and readiness for patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. Our caseload includes individuals of varying ages, from young athletes to active seniors, each seeking personalized rehabilitation strategies. Your role is crucial in guiding them through a supportive healing process that respects their individual circumstances and promotes holistic recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Possession of an active Physical Therapy license valid in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience working as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an orthopedic setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing and implementing specialized treatment protocols for orthopedic patients is highly valuable.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage patients through empathy and supportive therapy techniques, fostering a positive healing environment.

Compensation and Benefits
