Work Environment

You will work onsite in our vibrant orthopedic outpatient office, where collaboration and support are at the forefront. Our flexible scheduling options accommodate work-life balance, with typical hours running Monday to Friday, with shifts of four 10-hour days or three 12-13 hour days, starting as early as 7 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed initial assessments and evaluations of patients following orthopedic surgeries to identify specific therapy needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, ensuring each plan aligns with best practices in post-surgical and injury recovery.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques and tools, including but not limited to manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to relieve pain and enhance mobility.
• Continuously monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Engage actively in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to maintain comprehensive care and ensure seamless communication regarding patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries or those managing chronic injuries. You will work closely with adults of various ages and conditions, providing specialized care that emphasizes rebuilding strength, mobility, and functionality in their daily lives. Understanding each patient's unique challenges and tailoring your approach will be key to fostering patient trust and achieving successful rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapy license in Virginia is required.
• Strong knowledge and skills in orthopedic rehabilitation methodologies and techniques.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a similar physical therapist role is preferred, although recent graduates who demonstrate strong clinical skills will be considered.
• Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and proficiency in manual therapy and electronic medical record (EMR) systems will enhance your candidacy.
