Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

Position Overview

Balanced Bodies Wellness Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients at our outpatient orthopedic clinic located in McLean, Virginia. As a crucial member of our healthcare team, you will play an instrumental role in helping patients recover their mobility and improve their overall quality of life.

The therapy sessions will be conducted onsite in our fully equipped rehabilitation facility, designed with patient comfort and functionality in mind. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their specific goals, limitations, and needs, tailoring treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a manageable caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, allowing for focused and high-quality care.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques to enhance patients' function and mobility.
• Design and facilitate exercise programs that address individual rehabilitation needs, helping patients regain strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to develop comprehensive and integrated care plans, ensuring all aspects of patient health are considered.
• Monitor patient progress and treatment outcomes, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize recovery.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions clearly and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically using WebPT.
• Encourage patients to adopt healthy lifestyle choices, emphasizing the importance of maintaining physical activity and mobility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be providing care predominantly for patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, surgeries, and injuries. Our patient population includes a diverse range of individuals seeking recovery from sports-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic conditions affecting mobility and quality of life. As a Physical Therapist, you will guide these individuals through their rehabilitation journeys, ensuring they receive personalized support that aligns with their health aspirations.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Maintaining an unblemished professional record with no previous disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques, with demonstrable proficiency.
• Experience in developing and implementing tailored exercise programs based on specific patient needs.
• Proficient in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to manage patient records and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a proven track record of successful patient outcomes.
• A background in implementing evidence-based practices and current rehabilitation methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive compensation package, with an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
