Work Environment

This position is on-site at our Arlington location, where you will work alongside a small, dedicated team comprising one Physical Therapy Assistant and two fellow Physical Therapists. Our structured schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance while ensuring quality patient interaction. The facility is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technologies to enhance treatment effectiveness and patient engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of patients.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one individual per hour to ensure focused, high-quality care.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques and modalities to provide effective orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients and accurately document their progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols.
• Employ a variety of treatment strategies, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to improve patients' mobility and reduce pain.
• Educate patients about exercise techniques and facilitate their understanding of optimal movement patterns to promote recovery.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care and comprehensive patient support.
• Encourage and motivate patients during their rehabilitation journey to help them reach their fullest potential.
• Advocate for non-surgical treatment alternatives, minimizing reliance on medications whenever possible.
• Engage with patients and their families to provide support and guidance throughout the rehabilitation process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will primarily work with outpatient orthopedic patients, ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to individuals addressing chronic pain and mobility issues. Our clients are diverse, and you will have the opportunity to tailor your approach based on varying needs, using advanced therapeutic techniques to promote better health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid Physical Therapy License in Virginia.
• Demonstrated excellence in manual therapy techniques and the ability to create effective exercise regimens.
• A history free from board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficient usage of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to document and track patient progress.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various rehabilitation techniques and patient-centered care models.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
