With a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 – 100,000 per year, plus a sign-on bonus, this role is focused on helping clients navigate their recovery journey through personalized support and evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health and substance use concerns, paying particular attention to identifying co-occurring disorders.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating evidence-based therapies and techniques tailored to each person's unique needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients develop essential coping skills, emotional regulation techniques, and relapse prevention strategies.

• Coordinate closely with our multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists—to deliver holistic treatment that addresses all aspects of clients' well-being.

• Monitor clients’ substance use regularly and employ motivational interviewing techniques to encourage sustained engagement in their recovery process.

• Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health issues and substance use disorders, reinforcing the importance of adhering to treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines governing mental health practices.

• Engage in case conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, and ongoing professional training to continually enhance knowledge and effectiveness in treating co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies tailored for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• An in-depth understanding of the relationship between mental health disorders and substance use challenges.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse interdisciplinary team.
