Work Environment

This position is set in a home care facility environment, allowing us to provide personalized therapy in the comfortable surroundings of the patient's home. Expect to work on-site full-time, with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, which may include variable weekends. We maintain a drug-free workplace and require all employees to complete various vaccinations to ensure the safety of our team and patients.

Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients to develop effective treatment plans that address their specific orthopedic concerns.
• Implementing prescribed therapies and exercises, closely monitoring patient progress, and making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Providing expert consultations to other healthcare providers regarding the continuum of care for patients, ensuring coordination and integration of services.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of all treatments rendered and charging for services appropriately, in adherence to applicable laws and professional standards.
• Managing communication with healthcare teams, patients, and families to ensure everyone is informed about treatment goals and progress.
• Participating actively in community outreach initiatives, quality improvement projects, and marketing efforts to enhance patient engagement and educational outreach.
• Supervising assigned support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants and aides, to maximize departmental efficiency and high-quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is primarily on orthopedic patients, which may include individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and a variety of mobility issues. The successful candidate will be adept at developing therapeutic relationships with adults and seniors, promoting their recovery through tailored interventions that respect their unique needs and backgrounds.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective interactions with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficient word processing and computer skills, to maintain clear and organized records.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences would be advantageous for applicants:

• Prior experience in an orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Experience working in home care environments, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or staff training and mentoring.

Compensation and Benefits
