Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate client needs, and develop individualized treatment plans suited to their backgrounds and personal experiences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, taking into account the client’s cultural context to enhance engagement and effectiveness.

• Deliver various formats of therapy including individual sessions, family therapy, and group sessions aimed at resolving mental health challenges while fostering resilience.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive care plan that addresses the distinct needs of each client.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, leveraging your expertise to stabilize clients in distress.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and available community resources to foster understanding and support.

• Maintain meticulous records and documentation per legal and ethical standards within our electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training.

• Keep abreast of the latest research, clinical best practices, and culturally relevant methods in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will encompass a diverse patient population, including individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ community members, and immigrant families. You will be instrumental in delivering inclusive care that respects the unique experiences and challenges faced by these individuals, thereby driving positive outcomes and enhancing their overall mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT to practice in the state of Florida.

• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in providing culturally sensitive individual and group therapy.

• Strong skills in crisis intervention and a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience\n
