Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed assessments of patients' physical conditions to identify limitations and establish treatment goals.
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as appropriate.
• Monitor patients' progress and adapt treatment plans based on evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Educate patients about their conditions and explain therapeutic exercises, encouraging active participation in their recovery.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and adhere to best-practice guidelines for managing musculoskeletal injuries.
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to discuss findings and coordinate care strategies, ensuring continuity in patient treatment plans.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in our electronic health record (EHR) system to maintain accurate patient histories and outcomes.
• Attend regular staff meetings, contributing insights to improve departmental practices and patient care methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse array of patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will be instrumental in guiding patients of all ages, from athletes seeking to regain peak performance to seniors aiming to maintain functional mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid and active state license as a Physical Therapist in Florida, ensuring compliance with local practice regulations.
• At least three years of hands-on experience in a physical therapy setting, with a particular focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Comprehensive understanding of orthopedic conditions, treatment modalities, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish strong rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using advanced therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, or aquatic therapy.
• Familiarity with patient management software and electronic health records to enhance operational efficiencies.
• A background in developing and leading community wellness initiatives is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
