Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health evaluations and document comprehensive treatment plans from the initial consultation through to the completion of care.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to develop tailored intervention strategies for individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging open dialogue and fostering a safe environment for expression.
\n
• Maintain consistent follow-up and monitoring of client progress throughout the treatment plan, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to create cohesive care plans.

• Participate in case management by managing and coordinating referrals for clients requiring additional services.
\n
• Assist clients in identifying barriers to recovery and provide strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support families and caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health issues affecting their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will engage with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and behavioral disorders. Your role will be instrumental in promoting mental health awareness and facilitating recovery for each unique individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A passing score on either the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor demonstrating a strong clinical background.

• Experience with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR or comparable platforms, to manage client documentation efficiently.

• Understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, as well as experience in addiction recovery.

• Knowledge of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, allowing effective interaction with clients and colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal skills, exhibiting empathy, patience, and a supportive attitude toward clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a telehealth setting is highly valued, as it demonstrates adaptability to virtual client interactions.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other relevant approaches.
