Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-depth trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories, identifying therapeutic needs, and establishing an appropriate treatment pathway.

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, emphasizing resilience-building tactics.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including methodologies like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care approaches for our patients.

• Offering crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies while maintaining a compassionate and calm demeanor.

• Educating patients and their families on understanding trauma responses and available coping mechanisms to enhance their support systems.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, ensuring all patient records are meticulously managed.

• Participating in regular case consultations and team meetings to exchange insights and stay current with best practices in trauma treatment.

• Engaging in ongoing professional development through workshops, training sessions, and conferences related to trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of your practice will primarily be on individuals who have experienced trauma and may be facing challenges related to PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of the psychological and emotional impact of trauma and a commitment to supporting patients on their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly with trauma-focused interventions.

• Possession of a strong understanding of trauma disorders and the application of trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards patients.

• The ability to remain calm in high-stress situations and effectively manage crises.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications for documentation and record-keeping.

• An aptitude for collaborative teamwork within multidisciplinary settings.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
