Special Projects Coordinator

ARCA/MCA of Southern California is a nonprofit trade association representing union mechanical, HVACR, refrigeration, and plumbing contractors throughout Southern California. Our mission is to strengthen our members’ businesses by providing industry-leading education, workforce development, labor relations support, legislative advocacy, and networking opportunities while advancing the skilled trades. The Special Projects Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering that mission by leading strategic projects, coordinating member programs and events, building relationships with contractors, schools, and industry partners, supporting workforce development initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of ARCA’s educational, engagement, and business development efforts. This position requires a highly organized, self‑motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, and is committed to delivering exceptional service and measurable results for our members and the industry. Hourly range: $36-41, depending on qualifications and experience Full benefit package offered: Healthcare, PTO, Retirement This position is at-will employment Some evening and weekend work is required Preferred start date: October 1, 2026 Essential Qualifications Strong project management and organizational skills. Exceptional relationship-building and customer service abilities. High level of ownership, initiative, and accountability. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and LinkedIn. Professional judgment, integrity, and attention to detail. Nature of Work Reports directly to the Executive Director. Operates independently while collaborating across the organization. Office-based role with approximately 40% local travel. Supports evening or occasional weekend events as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in HVAC, construction, skilled trades, or association management. Experience leading projects, committees, or events. Experience supporting workforce development or education initiatives. Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, HVACR Certification, or completion of an apprenticeship. #J-18808-Ljbffr
