Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting thorough evaluations including reviewing patient history, performing specific assessments, and documenting findings and recommendations.
• Communicating evaluation results and treatment plans to both patients and their families, ensuring that they are integral to the goal-setting process.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's condition and needs while adapting to changes in the healthcare landscape.
• Consulting with other healthcare professionals, recognizing and documenting any changes in patients' conditions that necessitate adjustments to care plans.
• Completing discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring a comprehensive documentation process that includes initial evaluations, ongoing notes, and discharge summaries.
• Managing time effectively to meet productivity expectations, maintaining an organized schedule and punctuality for meetings and appointments.
• Participating in community outreach and marketing events to promote our services and enhance access to care.
• Contributing to departmental goals and regulations, maintaining compliance with all governmental and accreditation standards.
• Pursuing continuing education opportunities to enhance personal and professional development.
• Serving as a clinical instructor for students in the field, offering mentorship and guidance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain, or experiencing musculoskeletal injuries. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills and a dedication to excellent patient care.
