Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological condition of patients while considering their medical histories.

• Collaborate with a team of medical professionals to develop and implement customized treatment plans that address the interrelated aspects of mental and physical health.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies to ensure patient safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients on how their mental health is intertwined with their overall physical well-being, fostering empowerment and self-management skills.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary care planning to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research, treatment modalities, and best practices related to integrated care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily be working with patients who have co-occurring mental health and medical conditions, including chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use issues. Your work will focus on delivering compassionate care that acknowledges the complexities of these overlapping challenges, placing a premium on both understanding and treatment efficacy.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Texas.

• Demonstrated proficiency in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with concurrent medical conditions.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong therapeutic alliances with clients and collaborate effectively with medical teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n
