Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate, including Special and General Education Endorsements for Pre-K
• Experience or strong interest in early childhood special education
• Skillful in supporting children who are non-verbal or have limited verbal ability
• Comfortable assisting with toilet training, diapering, and feeding
• Knowledge of positive behavior management techniques

Responsibilities:

• Guide a diverse caseload of Pre-K students, adapting lessons and activities for varying developmental levels
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction, ensuring access and engagement for all learners
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to develop and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Assist students with activities of daily living, fostering independence and social skills
• Create a structured, welcoming, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Employ creative communication strategies for non-verbal students
