Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A special education teaching contract is open for the upcoming school year, providing an opportunity to guide a small caseload of approximately 8-9 students and contribute to a collaborative educational community.

This full-time position is scheduled from August 3rd, 2026 through May 21st, 2027, with the possibility of additional days for pre- and post-planning. You’ll work at an elementary school near LaFayette, GA, engaging daily with supportive colleagues and enthusiastic students. The classroom environment is designed to foster academic and personal growth for every learner.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current GaPSC Teaching Educator Certification
• General Curriculum Special Education Endorsement
• Classroom teaching experience in special education, particularly in inclusion settings, is highly valued
• Strong communication skills for teamwork and family engagement
• Genuine dedication to meeting the diverse needs of students

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, individualized instruction to students with special needs in an inclusion classroom
• Collaborate with co-teachers and instructional teams to plan and implement effective strategies
• Monitor student progress, maintain records, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed
• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment
• Participate in grade-level and multi-disciplinary team meetings
