Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher serving PreK–2nd grade students in an inclusion classroom setting. This contract opportunity is located near Ringgold, GA, with service dates from July 29th through May 21st, 2027, including pre-planning days. The position is full-time, offering 37.5 hours per week during regular school hours.

Enjoy a rewarding teaching atmosphere supporting a small caseload of approximately 8-10 elementary students. Most students are in 1st and 2nd grade, with some possibly in Kindergarten, presenting various needs such as autism, significant developmental and speech/language delays, self-regulation challenges, and learning disabilities. The classroom follows an inclusion model. While toileting and diapering are not part of the routine, you will supervise one student with a toileting goal who requires occasional assistance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid GaPSC teaching license with a P-12 Special Education endorsement
• Dyslexia endorsement
• Previous experience working with children with autism, developmental delays, or learning disabilities
• Strong collaborative skills for working in inclusive classroom settings
• Excellent communication and organization abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students in an inclusive elementary setting
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students’ unique needs
• Collaborate with general educators, support staff, and families
• Support students’ academic, social, communication, and behavioral growth
• Supervise students as needed, including one child with a toileting goal
• Document and track student progress effectively
