Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a vital role as a Special Education Teacher, supporting young learners in a collaborative and engaging elementary setting. This contract opportunity spans from late July through May 2027, providing stability and the fulfilling chance to make a real difference for students from pre-kindergarten through second grade. The position supports a caseload of 8-10 students in an inclusive classroom environment, primarily serving first and second graders with a few kindergarteners.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Teaching License with a P-12 Special Education endorsement
• Dyslexia endorsement required
• Experience working with children exhibiting autism, developmental delays, speech/language delays, self-regulation challenges, or learning disabilities preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and fellow educators
• Comfort in providing supervision to students with toileting needs (no diapering required)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and areas of need
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere, supporting both academic and social growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor student progress and adapt instruction as needed
• Support students in building self-regulation and communication skills
