Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to make a difference in elementary education. This full-time position runs from July 29, 2026, through May 21, 2027, including pre-planning days. You’ll serve primarily Kindergarten through 2nd grade with a small caseload—not exceeding ten students—with the potential to teach one instructional segment in the upper grades if needed. Enjoy a predictable weekday schedule from 7:00am to 3:00pm, supporting a welcoming school community near Rossville, GA.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in special education, focused on individualized support and collaborative teaching. The current assignment does not anticipate any significant behavioral challenges and does not involve toileting support.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active GaPSC Teaching Credential
• P-12 Special Education General Curriculum Endorsement (with possible additional endorsements pending verification)
• Previous classroom experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Skills in designing and implementing differentiated instruction
• Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Strong communication and record-keeping abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction in alignment with students’ IEP goals
• Create inclusive and supportive learning environments for early elementary learners
• Monitor student progress, adjust plans as needed, and communicate outcomes
• Participate in pre-planning, IEP meetings, and professional development as required
