Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an engaging and impactful role supporting elementary learners as a Special Education Teacher in an inclusion classroom setting. This full-time contract opportunity spans the upcoming school year, beginning with pre-planning on July 29th and running through May 21st, 2027. You’ll work closely with a diverse caseload of approximately 8-10 students, primarily in 1st and 2nd grade, with some in Kindergarten. The classroom includes students with a range of learning differences, such as autism, significant developmental delays, speech/language delays, self-regulation challenges, and general learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment alongside general education teachers
• Utilize differentiation and evidence-based strategies for students with varied abilities
• Monitor student progress and communicate with families and educational staff
• Supervise and assist one student with a toileting goal, as needed (no diapering/toileting for others)
• Collaborate with speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other support staff
• Participate in pre-planning days, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Teaching License
• P-12 Special Education endorsement required
• Dyslexia endorsement required
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with autism, developmental and learning delays preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication, and classroom management skills
