Work Environment

The position is based in our outpatient office located in the heart of Alexandria, Virginia, where you will work Monday to Friday in a 40-hour shift. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and technology to support our physical therapists in delivering effective treatment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine their physical rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that are aligned with patient goals and physician recommendations, ensuring high-quality care tailored to each individual.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to optimize recovery and improve patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as indicated by ongoing evaluations.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, postural awareness, and preventative strategies to promote healing and enhance functional independence.
• Engage in collaborative case discussions with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes through shared insights and strategies.
• Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service, addressing patient needs, concerns, and feedback related to their care.
• Meet and strive to exceed minimum utilization goals and business objectives to contribute to the success of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, treating individuals across various specialties including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine. Your role will involve not only recovering function post-injury but also optimizing stability and preventing future injuries through targeted rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure for Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with patients and caregivers.
• Proficient in computer systems for documentation and patient management.
• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a personable demeanor while interacting with patients.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in an outpatient setting dealing with a variety of patient conditions.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience or expertise in evidence-based practice techniques that improve rehabilitation outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is between USD 100,000 and 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefit package including:
