Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Silver Star, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly understand each patient’s background and individual needs.

• Developing tailored treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, integrating evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing traumatic experiences, developing effective coping mechanisms, and promoting overall healing.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to provide cohesive and integrated care for all patients.

• Providing timely crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate assistance when needed.

• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to enhance their understanding and recovery process.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation according to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all required regulations.

• Engaging in case consultations and team meetings focusing on trauma-informed practices and staying current with the latest research in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population consists of individuals and families dealing with various trauma-related disorders, requiring a compassionate and informed approach. Counselors will have the opportunity to work with a diverse demographic, allowing for rich experiences in understanding and addressing the unique challenges that clients face due to their trauma histories.

Qualifications\n

Applicants must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution and possess a current, valid licensure as an LPC in the state of Texas. A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

While we value all applicants, candidates with a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience are preferred. We seek professionals who have demonstrated expertise in trauma-focused therapies and possess excellent interpersonal skills, allowing them to relate compassionately with clients during challenging times.

Compensation and Benefits\n
