Business Development Manager - Elk Grove Village, IL $135,000 Total Compensation ($100,000 Base Salary + Commission) If you have a passion for sales, enjoy building long-term relationships, and love to travel, this is an opportunity to combine all three. You'll manage established key accounts, develop new business, and work directly with decision-makers across the U.S. and internationally. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with customers across these industries while representing a product line that has been trusted for more than 100 years and continues to lead the market. Responsibilities Manage key customer accounts while identifying opportunities to expand existing business and develop new accounts. Sell new products, conduct training presentations, create proposals, and represent the company at trade shows, strategic meetings, and client events. Serve as the primary liaison to domestic and international customers through regular face-to-face meetings (35-40% travel). Negotiate proposals, pricing, and contracts. Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to increase account penetration and cross-selling opportunities. Deliver exceptional customer service while providing creative solutions to meet client needs. Partner with leadership to develop and execute account strategies, goals, and growth plans. Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitive activity. Provide marketplace feedback and recommendations to support regional growth strategies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. 3+ years of sales experience. Outside sales experience is strongly preferred. Stable work history with a proven ability to build relationships and earn client trust. Confident, personable, and professional with a consultative sales approach. Experience selling products is preferred. Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Ability to travel 35-40%, including overnight domestic and international travel. A valid passport is required.
