Work Environment\n

This position is offered in a remote setting, allowing therapists to work from their own home while still actively engaging with clients through individualized therapy sessions. The role requires sessions that may take place in the clients' homes or potentially at our outpatient clinic. Our community health clinic environment emphasizes teamwork and shared practices, where therapists can collaborate and consult with colleagues across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual treatment sessions for clients, either in their homes or at designated outpatient facilities, ensuring a comfortable setting that promotes personal connection and therapeutic rapport.

• Develop and implement tailored therapeutic strategies to assist clients in managing anger, enhancing coping skills, and fostering social skills, with a focus on reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.

• Empower adolescents and caregivers by improving decision-making skills to effectively manage behavioral issues within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other healthcare professionals, engaging in a multidisciplinary approach to facilitate comprehensive support for youths and their families.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in adherence to organizational standards and policies.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing valuable insights and contributing ideas for treatment enhancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with children aged 3 to 20 who have developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children and their families, providing essential support to caregivers and helping to navigate the complexities that accompany developmental disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Possession of a current, active, and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in Oregon.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, specifically during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with added flexibility for weekends preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents, especially in cases involving developmental or intellectual disabilities.

• Demonstrable background in providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for client home visits are required.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
