Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver personalized therapy sessions to children either in-home or through virtual platforms, tailored to meet their unique developmental needs.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions in our outpatient center to promote social skills and encourage healthy peer interactions.

• Implement therapeutic strategies for anger management, coping, and the enhancement of decision-making capabilities to address in-home behavioral challenges.

• Work closely with the Child Family Treatment Team to develop coordinated treatment plans and ensure holistic care for each child and their family.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all therapeutic sessions including treatment plans and progress notes to track client development effectively.

• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss cases and provide insights or recommendations based on your expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on children aged 3-20 who face developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This population requires therapists who can provide not only therapeutic support but also educational guidance to caregivers, helping to strategize around specific behavioral or emotional challenges. By utilizing evidence-based techniques and personalized insights, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for these children and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is essential.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with some weekend availability preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary for in-home visitations.

• A clean criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory for employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support is strongly preferred.

• Prior hands-on experience working with children ages 3-20, particularly those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD), is highly beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
