This full-time position focuses on delivering specialized therapeutic services within our community health clinic. Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting while engaging directly with clients in their homes or via our outpatient center. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team, which includes social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals. Although the work is primarily remote, you will occasionally be required to attend in-person meetings at our facility in Tacoma, supporting a collaborative team culture-driven environment where communication and teamwork thrive.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Global Life Mental Healthcare, your role will encompass a variety of clinical tasks, including:

• Providing individualized in-home therapy sessions as well as group therapy sessions geared towards improving youth mental health.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based strategies to address high-risk behaviors—including self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression—through anger management and social skills training.
\n
• Empowering youth and caretakers by enhancing their decision-making abilities to navigate in-home behavioral challenges more effectively.
\n
• Actively participating in regular case consultations and collaborating with fellow professionals to foster unified treatment approaches for youth and families.
\n
• Meeting documentation commitments by timely submission of necessary paperwork, such as intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
\n
• Engaging in monthly team meetings to discuss progress and contribute recommendations based on client interactions.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves children and adolescents aged 3 to 20, many of whom face developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work closely with families, helping them navigate the complexities of their children's needs while fostering resilience and empowering caregivers with effective tools and strategies. Our focus is on delivering culturally sensitive care that respects the unique backgrounds and experiences of each family we serve.

Qualifications\n

The following qualifications are necessary for consideration for this position:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
\n
• An active, unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• A minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with some flexibility for weekend hours.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, the following experiences are highly valued:

• Experience providing positive behavior support to children with challenging behaviors.
\n
• Prior work with children and families that includes addressing the needs of clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
\n
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year for this position, commensurate with qualifications and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
