Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations for new clients, including preliminary interviews to gather detailed history and current concerns.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, integrating evidence-based modalities.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques to engage clients and promote effective coping strategies.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and social workers, to create effective intervention strategies.

• Participate in case consultations, providing insights and recommendations that enhance client care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement prevention strategies to address these within therapeutic sessions.

• Offer support to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with tools to assist loved ones facing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base is diverse, encompassing individuals of various ages, backgrounds, and mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will play a vital role in addressing and understanding these complex needs, while offering a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their feelings and work toward recovery. Your expertise will be essential in fostering strong therapeutic alliances, which are crucial for effective treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Texas.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, with specific knowledge of therapeutic practices and assessment procedures.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to maintain accurate documentation.

• Prior experience working with clients facing dual diagnoses, including co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with the standards set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) for best practices in the field.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, with a potential sign-on bonus.
