Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations by reviewing medical histories and performing specific assessments to create comprehensive treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in goal-setting.
• Administer prescribed treatment protocols that are customized based on patient assessments and evolving healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, referring patients for additional medical consultations when necessary, and document any significant changes in their condition.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring detailed documentation of every aspect of the patient's care, from initial evaluations to progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Exemplify time management skills by keeping an accurate schedule while meeting expected patient productivity levels and participating in community outreach activities.
• Engage in departmental goal-setting and compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Proactively seek and participate in continuing education opportunities for personal and organizational growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, chronic conditions, and post-operative care. Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred, showcasing a solid understanding of treatment protocols and patient care.
• Prior experience in outpatient rehabilitation is highly desirable.
