Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, developing tailored treatment approaches that respect their experiences.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience, and personal growth.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patients to process trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster community.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, integrated care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization for patients.
\n
• Educate patients and families about trauma responses and coping strategies, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of treatment in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities centered on trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including children, adolescents, and families facing challenges related to PTSD and complex trauma. This position requires a strong understanding of the complexities associated with dissociative disorders and a compassionate approach to support clients in their journey toward healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to treating clients.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
