Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and interviews to identify the unique needs and goals of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Provide individual counseling sessions that may involve motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy, to help patients engage with their recovery.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, encouraging peer support as clients share their experiences and strategies for overcoming addiction.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of integrated, coordinated care that addresses all aspects of patient health.

• Respond to crises and offer timely support in situations involving substance-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources to ensure a well-rounded support system.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, adhering to ethical and legal standards, to accurately reflect patient progress and treatment outcomes.

• Engage actively in professional development opportunities and team meetings to stay informed about industry advancements and best practices in substance use disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals dealing with substance use disorders. You will support a diverse client population, ranging from adolescents to adults, each facing their own unique challenges in addiction recovery. As a mental health counselor, you will play an essential role in providing compassionate support, fostering resilience, and empowering clients towards positive change.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Must possess valid licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PSYD) within the state of Washington.

• Comprehensive knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery-oriented care practices, and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a committed approach to patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
